PVP toolset updates and powerfull Xan Artifacts will spice up pvp in 18.0.

The Means Machine, Booster Plus Q&A Print News | Category: Community
Colin "Means" Cragg, Anarchy Online Game Director, left a note in the official AO forum inviting people to submit their questions for some Friday Q&A action! Go ahead and leave your questions here. He also had the following to say:
The Booster:
Combined Combined Combined Combined is NOT part of the booster and never was. Please stop picketing my house...my dog doesn't like it. "Items in the DB rip are not necessarily part of the etc etc."
Items/Loot 100% in this booster will be deck slot item upgrades, Spirits and Symbiant upgrades. Many placeholders are already in place..and again should not be taken as the final versions until it is live. There will also be some "artifacts" of mysterious use...but no details on that yet. I also wouldn't want to spoil the surprise too much. Fear and Knockback pvp additions will be included in the VP vendors at the same time as the Booster...but will not be booster dependant for use. Profession specific pvp toolset additions are not going to be available only to those who purchase the booster.
Thanks to all who have taken the time to help us test the code aspect of the booster. Mighty Macrosun was able to nail down and fix several serious issues this week that we hope to ship to test dimensions early next week. Next week should also include the first playfield for testing "Neretva Canyon"...and hopefully more.

This week we are celebrating the Vault Network’s Icon and Graphics Board’s 6th birthday!

Icon and Graphics board, a community
While perusing our board, if you like what you see, feel free to stick around! The Icon and Graphics board is a fantastic community of artists and people sharing ideas, telling bad jokes and requesting artwork - not just for the Vault but their own guild’s or personal sites too!!
Have a request, general questions or just want some help figuring things out? Feel free to ask, we have a number of talented and knowledgeable people that will be willing to give you a hand.
We're looking for more artists!
If you happen to have a knack or talent for art of these sorts, and need some where to shine and show off, the Icon and Graphics board could be your match made in heaven.
We are currently looking for a few good artists to fill our staff and aid in our quest of beautifying the internet and making icons.

Please include a sample of your work. It needn’t be anything elaborate, it’s all about the basic know how with a touch of creativity for good measure.

Looks like I missed the patch notes from 17.10 that was released to the live servers on the 22nd. Here is a snippet: Raid InterfaceThe 17.10 update brings with it a new raid management and instancing system that will allow players to come together like never before and get a much better overview of their raid forces. The new raid interface (control+shift+r) will allow players to manage the teams and individuals within the new raid groups. Players will be able to use the following features: - Switch and assign players between teams within the raid.
- Each profession within the raid can be identified by profession icons next to their names.
- Manage a maximum of six teams together as one raid. For raid instances the limit on the number of teams will vary playfield to playfield up to a maximum of six.
- Use a specific raid channel for communication.
- Move the players health and nano bars to appear anywhere you wish on the screen.
- See how much health a player has lost both by their bar and through a numerical display over the bar showing how much health they have lost.
- Assign different loot rules including a leader mode where the raid leader can assign loot rights to anyone in the raid. Anyone not in the raid will never be able to open the corpse.

We have launched the newest of our Vault sites - this time the very exciting title coming from the fantastic Liquid Entertainment and Codemasters crew - Rise of the Argonauts Vault is your one-stop shop for all your Rise of the Argonauts needs. We have launched with content that will have the fans of the game and mythology stumbling over themselves! A prime example is our Myths and Lore Wiki.
The most excellent segment of the site is the movies database in which we are in the process of uploading every single movie the codies and liquid crew throw at the community... and these guys rock! If you aren't hyped about the game now, you will be by the time you have finished watching the movies!
